 At night, our streets are alive with restaurant-goers, music lovers, late shoppers and people with their dancing shoes on.
Concert buses can be seen along side streets with fans and curious passers by on tiptoes trying to peek in.
And there is live entertainment every night in dozens of restaurants, bars and clubs.
There are venues for sipping and talking, for belting it out with Karaoke DJs, and for listening and dancing to everything from blues, rock, jazz, funk, punk, hip hop, country, and more.
One of the coolest things about Northampton is that walking into any of these after dark venues reveals a come-may-all atmosphere with 20-somethings and 50-somethings
all enjoying the scene and each other's company.
